What is a good estimate on the saturation of IH pennies amoung the general population of pennies? I have a fairly good idea that if I sort 5,000 dimes, I "should" find 1 to 4 silvers. 4,000 nickles "should" yield 1 or 2 war nickles. ABOUT how many pennies would you think I would need to sort to "expect" to find 1 IH? Also, are most of the IH's you are finding found in CWR, or equally from BWR?

I date sort pennies periodically thru the year. The only IH I ever found was in a bag of copper pennies I bought from Oregon mint. I have collected about 2 bags of 68lb each, or about 20,000 copper pennies, excluding wheats and 1982's --- I save the wheat separately and throw back all of the 1982's for you Rydale owners to sift through. So, if 20% of the pennies in my area are copper, and I have 20,000 in 2 bags, then I must have date sorted 100,000 pennies over the past 2 years. (that may be a rediculously low number for most of you). Still, how much more would I need to redouble my efforts to expect to find an IH?

After about a year of nothing I saw a 1896 laying in the zinc pile yelling at me saying here I'm. So I now have one more for the tribe.

Hi this is my first post. I have a 14 year old son with autism who looks at $100+ of cents a week. He just found two Indian heads. Four days apart not from the same bank 1906,1907.

2 today came in back to back rolls 1905 and 1906.

Full liberty, very very nice coins.

found a 1887 SCP tonight.

"SCP" Super Cruddy Penny...I had to wizz the coin just to make out the date, and that was with extra bright light and a cleaned magnifying glass and a little squint ;)
