HIGHLIGHTS OF November's SILVER SEARCHING:
November saw the most halves of the year searched: $199,205.50 halves. 1534 SILVER halves were found in November. Although the most halves were searched, the poorest number of halves per box this year occurred in November too, only 3.85 SILVER halves per box on average. There were 113 War Nicks found in November, the third best month this year for these. In addition, there were 134 SILVER dimes found (down from 170 last month), and only 2 SILVER quarters were discovered in the wild. Dumpster Diver's 65 SILVERs box was the best half box and hirbonzig found 59 SILVERs in a $912 bag. gravybro grabbed 4 SILVER dimes out of two different $250 boxes of dimes during November. zerocd found a record number of War Nicks for 2010: 14 War Nicks in a $100 box.
On the leadership boards: sdmarasso found the most SILVER halves (451) once again, while knibloe had to settle for second with 245 SILVER halves. hirbonzig found the most SILVER dimes (40), beating out gravybro who found 32 SILVER dimes this month. zerocd was the best at finding War Nicks (48) again surpassing everyone by a wide margin; cwgii was second best with 18.
Other highlights are as follows:
11/2 - zerocd finds a record 14 War Nicks in a $100 box of nickels.
11/3 - hirbonzig finds 4 SILVER Roosevelts in a $250 box of dimes.
11/7 - gravybro finds 4 SILVER Roosevelts in a $250 box of dimes.
11/8 - Dumpster Diver gets his best box ever: 50 Franklins, a Walker, two 1964 JFKs, and 12 40%ers.
11/11 - gravybro finds 4 SILVER Roosevelts in another $250 box of dimes.
11/15 - knibloe gets 11 SOLID ROLLS OF SILVER in a CWR pickup: 51 JFK 1964's and 169 40%ers - WOW!!
11/17 - gravybro finds a 1912 barber dime in a $250 box of dimes.
11/20 - chris6084 finds a V-Nick in a $100 box of nickels.
11/22 - slickeast gets 49 40%ers in a bag of halves.
11/25 - zerocd finds a large herd of Buffalos in 3 boxes of nickels: 10 buffalos.
11/26 - hirbonzig finds 59 SILVER halves in a $912 bank bag.
11/30 - beauanderos finds a 1905 Barber half in a box of halves.
11/30 - sdmarasso reports in having searched 168 boxes of halves ($84000) this month; his finds include 361 40%ers, 90 90%ers including a 1954 Washington-Carver commemorative.

It's important to post your SKUNKS as well as your great SILVER finds. That keeps the statistics honest. I'll try to post some graphs of our SILVER finds as 2010 proceeds along by adding data to this initial post. I'll see if I can post some interesting insights into the data here in this initial post for 2010 too. Even though this is a national tabulation of all our finds, I think its fun to know what finds are being made and at what frequentcy.
It might be interesting to see how many Barbers, Walkers, Franklins, and 90% Kennedys are found too. Also, how many Barbers and Mercurys dimes we find. I'll try to keep track of all of these.
