Have you guys noticed any changes to the reject chute? It seems they've added a blocking panel of some sort; you can no longer retrieve coins from the slide itself. If they don't actually fall off into the catch bin, you can't wiggle them free.

And we all know how that chute is famous for backing up to begin with. Either it's bent upwards, or the half bag partially blocks it...

Not that it makes a big difference. Most of my coin is from the magnet anyway.

That's why it's a good practice to always have to have enough coin with you to make sure the machine has to be pulled out.

Yes, that was an advantage to coin sorting.

It's kinda hard to fill up a coin bag now as most of the time I'm running less than a roll of quarters thru the machine. ;)

I was running errands today outside of my usual borders and spotted a TD. I confirmed on the android this branch had a coin machine...but I was without coin that needed counting.

No problem. There was a United Bank across the street. Never heard of them before today, and I doubt I'll ever go back. Two forms of photo ID were required to exchange two ten dollar bills for two rolls of quarters. It took her a full three minutes to feverishly copy down every bit of info from my license and gun permit.

I love how they pitch you after that: "You should consider opening an account with us..."

Anyway.... .65 from that branch. And another 1.01 from a machine I scraped clean at 3:45 yesterday. Less than 1/2 day it already gathered another buck. I might start hitting that one more than once a week.

Went for a rare Thursday run. Out of 12 stops two were skunks & two machines were unplugged

11.52

We'll see how that affects Sunday's take in 3 days.

7.22 from 10 stops. 1 machine still unplugged from the other day. Girl I know very well from another branch tells me sometimes a branch manager will unplug a machine if it gets too busy

Anyway...I guess the yields will take a hit by going 4 times in the same week. $7 just ain't worth it. But I did get a silver Roosie, and my first ever nickel 2 Franc. Plus .60 US

Might hit a few tomorrow. They should be getting close to being sick of seeing me by now :P

Can you believe TD doesn't see this as saturation? They're adding 7 more branches this year
