On the 1960 roll...you should check for the 1960 plain small date....there is a premium for these coins in good condition. You might have done better than you thought!

After hand-searching over 100 boxes, I have not seen any 1960-P Small Date pennies. Has anyone found them? The 1960-D Small Dates are much more common...

I've found a couple but they went into the copper pile. Old and worn or just plain ugly. I didn't think they had any value in their condition. I did set aside all 1960's from my last two boxes. I found 17 small date 1960D's. Only 2 1960 plain...both large date. I will keep an eye out for better ones. Just something else on my list now....my long list!

1912 found last night.

Yeah, that's why, at different times last year, I considered cutting the thread off at "pre-34." But that late-30's stuff still gives a bit of a thrill when you find 'em.

YES, everyone, including me, likes to make a post here when they find an oldie. It's a little easier to find those late 1930's pennies, but it's fun to post about every one you find. :D

$25 Brinks Box yields:

1925 - G, good color, but a couple of digs on the Lincoln bust.

1939 - Fair, corroded and pitted, but not too bad.

Still, finding a 1933 is a nice find. It's one of the tough ones.
