Last Fridays box of halves yielded 17 keepers and a first for me. I found a 1976 S silver!

The break down:

76 x 1
65 x 4
66 x 1
67 x 4
68 x 2
69 x1

Boxes come in on Wednesday!

Report on dimes searched:

$125.00 -- 25 CWRs

Silver dimes found - one -- 1/1954
2009 dimes found - four -- 3/P mintmark, 1/D mintmark
Other found - six -- 3/2010P US Dimes; 1/1992 Five Pence; 1/1996 US Penny; 1/1988S Proof Dime--This is the first proof dime I have found while searching rolls. :D


Other stats: Two rolls shorted ten cents each roll, Two rolls over ten cents each roll

Overage/shortage total: Even

Well, it's time to talley and close up the month of January.

First tonight's results. Nothing new here.

Half Box #51 - Skunk

Half Box #52 - Skunk

Results for the month.

70 40% - 10.3525 ounces
27 90% - 9.7658 ounces
Total - 20.1093 ounces

Average find of .3867 ounce per box
Average find of 1.865 silvers per box

37 of the 52 boxes were skunks.

Overall results were about 50% of last year's averages.
If you are waiting for the "correction" to buy you need to realize that the increasing prices ARE the correction.

The Rode-totals for the month of January:
$1950 dimes searched – 9 silvers found – 20.25 grams ASW = 0.0103 grams/$1 sorted
$1750 Halves searched- 1 40% silver found – 4.60 grams ASW = 0.0062 grams/$1 sorted
$100 Nickels searched - 1 Silver war found - 1.75 grams ASW = 0.0175 grams/$1 sorted

Total grams ASW liberated from the wild 26.6 grams (0.855 ounces)at a face value cost of $1.45 = $1.70 per ounce ASW
