Only two U.S. coins left to claim. Both the P and D of the GEORGE ROGERS CLARK QUARTER. These should be in circulation by now so check your change!

As a teen I set a personal best when I found a 1980 penny on Jan 20th of that year. Haven't come close to that date since.
Another phenomenon is that around this time each year a lotta shiny new coins from the previous year start showing up in abundance. Maybe the Mint's dumping last year's excess before the new ones come out.

2016-First coin found 1st week of February.
2017-First coin found 2nd week of February.
My first coin coin from the new year is usually in June.
I will start a 2018 first to find thread shortly. If anyone finds one before I start the thread, note the date found and location and post it when the thread is up.

2018-D Lincoln cents in change today in Tampa FL of all places for D mint cents. I got 4 of them - and asked the teller if they were from a new roll, and they were. They are all badly spotted already.....yuck.

2017-D George Rogers Clark quarter. Got it on 8-27-18 in change from the grocery store. I see that no one has claimed it yet, so I will. Thanks everyone for participating.

Wow- I'm surprised it took this long for someone to claim that final 2017 coin.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
