10 rolls of pennies today produced 85 copper which means 17 percent. Included in those copper were three wheats and a KG. However, I also pulled three dimes. I wish every roll had a dime in it!

Another 10 rolls today. This time 103 total copper including one wheat and 5 CAD copper. Percentage was 20.6 - not bad. Of interest (to me anyway) was a 1959 in showroom condition!

You sorted 200 rolls and averaged around 6 copper per roll which comes out to 12 percent. That seems it bit low unless your area is below average in general. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, were these Loomis/string or were they customer wrapped?

So part of the $1300 I got ,was three $50 bags of pennies.
Opened one today. Due to limits on my scale, went with 5 cottage cheese containers. 2000 grams in each. Then used the smaller containers to do, 400. Then 195.
So a total of 2595.

I am going to weigh the zincs when done.
In the past, I weighed rolls at 125-126 grams.
Or 250-252 per dollar.

Off to sort.

Since I do $100 to average things out some, this is inconclusive.

$10 ish sort.
145, 11 1982-- just shy of 70% are cu. So add 7 . 1 of the Canadian was cu.

Total 153.

When I count my ,groups, I separate out what I call, UGLies. A spot of tarnish dirt or damage. Well this was pretty bad.
66 got sent to the heat sink bucket.

Yes, I use the ugly copper in various container's as thermal mass. Odd practical me.

My reading , phone ,chair is in the corner of the bedroom. On two coffee tables I have my lamps. Also coffee warmers.cast aluminum mugs hold pennies.they get too hot to touch, so ,over 150 degrees. A 4 inch USB fan pushes air towards me.
Not enough to really do anything for the room, but I can feel it. Or at least I think it helps, as the house is set at 63.

Relearn, as I am getting forgetful.
I weighed 10 rolls 1258 grams.hence 125.8 grams per roll.

I used to use 251per dollar..
8 rolls 1006, 125.1 avg

Was at the bank to get halves on Tuesday. The teller said he got an interesting coin that I could have and it was a 1943-P steel cent. XF to AU in condition, but it was one of those that was artificially cleaned for the sets which existed back in the day.
