2015 Jamaica Twenty Dollar coin in the reject chute at my local banks coin counter. Its a really nice looking bi-metal coin about the size of a quarter.

Continuing car issues has limited my Coinstar excursions to once a week, plus whatever I find in my complex's parking lot. In the latter category, I was lucky to nab a $10 bill being blown around so perhaps that makes up for the lack of coinage. I'm also in a phase at work where I won't have any extended time off for a couple of months. Once the car issues get sorted out I'll try to get back on the horse, but for now, it looks like the first half of 2024 may be a lean period for CS finds.

Local coinstar gave me a quarter this morning.

I've noticed that, at one of the places I go to, it appears that the staff is cleaning out the reject bin. I was walking out of the store the other day and noticed nothing was in the CS chute. About 3 paces away from the CS, on a counter, was .06 in pennies, 1 looking like it would have been rejected by CS. I'm guessing there's competition there

Absolutely they are. A couple of days ago I was walking into a Kroger with my eye on the Coinstar machine and I saw the lot cart pusher guy checking the CS and getting something.

I suspect that the people watching the self checkout machines, which tend to be near the coinstars, are checking them as well.

And so ends one of my weakest quarters of Coinstar hunting. Vehicle issues have been dealt with so I hope to increase my searches. What has been found so far isn't much to write a forum post about. Roughly a third of my finds have been in my apartment complex parking lot but I did snag a first-time country in one my few CS jaunts. It's something, I suppose, lol. Hoping for triumphant returns in April and beyond.
