Some of you live charmed lives when it comes to the Coinstar machines.....when I check them (they are found in the customer service areas of the local Wal-Marts), they are picked clean - no rejects, no buttons, not even some belly button fuzz.

Same thing goes for the counters in the lobbies of area banks....

I checked the CoinStar machine at WalMart when I got to the store and there was nothing. I checked again when I was leaving and found...

1946 silver dime

It pays to check twice. :)

cu yesterday.. a bent penny and a 'rolled' nickel.. ie it sat in some machine until the rim thickened.

Friday 13th...... at the cu the machine started dumping everything... emptied bags. then opened it up . a paperclip and ...... a dollar bill. which they gave to me.

bet no one else on here has gotten a dollar bill from a coin counte rlololoo

Last weekend while at a Shaw's market in RI I found $4.12 in the rejects US plus some foreign. I don't understand how people could let this happen.

Canada 2003P 5 cents crowned, the tougher of the 2003's (only 31.4 mil) and the last modern Canadian nickel I needed. Couldn't even find this at a local coin show recently and it was sitting innocently on the CS ledge yesterday.
