Called the yard prepared steel $210 a net ton. I have a little bit around here guess I need to round it all up and take it in. Steel prices going up

Insult to injury.

Went to another, buyer, that I have never gone to. Turns out they are 7-330. I got there at 3,45. Locked up, no one there.. Ah double crappola.

Went again.not buying, closing ,laying people off.

Another buyer...fine

Another...owner in Mexico.come back next month.

I called one place 30 miles away....$1 if Perfect.

I've noticed this near me as well. I'm seeing piles of pallets in some areas. There is definitely an oversupply. It's not a good economic sign!

Trite, but ,American lives depend on truckers. Truckers depend on pallets full of goods to move around the country. Unless pallet soppliers have suddenly expanded production to exceed demand. Then we are in trouble.

Correct, it's a family of alloys that the average scrapper is highly unlikely to find. They're difficult to identify without an XRF gun. There are several varieties, I sold the X type.

Yes, this was thermocouple wire that was 95% platinum and 5% rhodium. Most refineries won't pay anything for the rhodium, but I know someone who will. It's only half a gram but it's worth getting credit for!
