Neighbor behind said I could have the leaking solar water panel from his roof if I would just haul it away.

Got 118 dollars for the aluminum and copper.
Pedal to the metal.

I received a card in the mail to sign up for a Behr Preferred Customer Card. I'll receive a Bonus Gift and special pricing throughout the year. I'll have to go sign up and see what the gift is and how the special prices are. It can't hurt. I'll have to get out there and find some more scrap to make the trip worth it.

CMC has a preferred customer card. It's usually worth 5 cents more per pound on non-ferrous. Occasionally I think they will offer 50 cents more per pound on shreddable.

I just had a new roof and gutters put on the house, and saved the old gutters, downspouts and brackets from the dumpster, cut them into 4 foot lengths and hauled them in today, along with a yard waste bag full of cans. Didn't bother to weigh it all, was expecting around $50 and got $73. It doesn't quite cover the cost of the new gutters, but it's pretty good beer money!

Co-worker gave me the large steel plate that came out of a piano he had. He had tried to give the piano away, but found no takers. He used a axe to chop the thing up and burnt the wood in a fire pit behind his house. The plate weighed 180 lbs and brought me $14.40  !

went to the yard today with 660 lbs steel .The place was busy so the owner told me he could pay me. When he brings me the print out I notice that the price was .10 a pound and I say to him oh the price is back up to .10 cool! He then states that he has not had to pay out anyone in a while and that his prices were not updated so it should have been .09 a pound. He did pay me the .10 a pound so $66.00 total

120 lbs of clean sheet @ $230/ton.

$13.20 just for picking up scraps around the jobsite that would go in the dumpster otherwise.
