hoping that the compactor at normas gets fixed soon., the cardboard is piling up at home Will they not take it as they can not bale it up? I assumed that you had to breakdown all your cardboard for them to take.

they have such a pile from the time the baler was broken, that they want to get that gone before buying any more. also. like always , someone screwed it up for the rest of us. they found a box that was full of garbage.

and yes, it has to be broken down , which was another pissed off point of hers. the larger furniture boxes were not being broken down.

another point is that their price went down, so they will lower theirs.... making it not worth the time.

160 lbs alum extruded @ .60 lb = $96.00

I had several heavy pieces that were painted brown did not want to get deducted for painted alum asked and they said that they can go in with the extruded no problem! Glad I did not put them in with my painted alum pile.

you will have to ask her . as she is only buying from certain folks. after the last time of people doing her dirty.... garbage bags inside the boxes.

btw,,, the newest scrap yard to open , next to her. was very nice to me yesterday.

I took in all the 'little piles' around the house. .. one sink, one faucet, a couple of stainless plates, one pile of xmas lights, some strapping from pallets, a sealed unit from a fridge. total of 38.90

end as a grand opening, received a free tee shirt.

I am going to go to him with the steel for sure. His prices were lower on the other items when I checked. I do want a T shirt though!

5 lbs #2 plastic clear @ .10 lb
8 lbs #2 plastic color @ .02 lb
41 lbs glass bottles @ .03 lb
11 lbs #1 plastic bottles @ .30 lb
65 lbs cardboard @ .02 lb
32 lbs #2 ins wire @ 1.10 lb
5 lbs #2 copper @ 3.65 lb

$55.25 total

And it looks like I can start breaking the glass again, to get a better price, until some one f's up again! Whole glass takes up too much room! Cardboard not worth it but if I can break down boxes and stuff them into each other not too much work, and I am going to this place anyway it's an extra couple of bucks! LOL

California redemption Value?

Why would that matter in AZ.

I wish I could sell glass in Prescott!

Took my son to recycle the plastic bottles he has been saving. He got $7.89 for them. He checked the dates on the coins he received and said "Here's two copper ones for you since I know you like saving those." The kid is learning.

like most of the recyclables here , they go to ca for the return value. part of the problem of can value..... several scrap yards will only pay 55-60 cents .. actual aluminum value. versus the ones that are messing with ''the system'' by sending them to ca. and offering 90-95
