I had a bunch of small stuff that I wanted to get rid of before gold prices fall again. Gold connectors, cell phones and a few boards. I had 16 pounds of the connectors alone...

I spied a large window air conditioner in a guy's trash barrel during a bike ride.

Went back in the van and got it. Pieced out brought approximately $20.

What are you guys getting for aluminum turnings? I have ten 55-gallon drums full, so at least 1500 pounds. Called the two yards around here, closest one said $0.15/pound, one further away said $0.15 - $0.20 depending on quality.

Wow, $0.32 would be awesome. The place closest to me (5 minute drive one way) quoted $0.15/lb for 1500 lbs, the bigger place further out (45 minute drive one way) quoted $0.15 - $0.20/lb depending on quality. :(
