I remove most copper and alum stuff from brown boards then either sell the rest or add it to your steel if you don't have a low grade board buyer.

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but a dozen or so were cracked open and dry so they wouldnt hold water anyway, they got a good deal on those batteries. My van was hanging down a little bit in the back when I pulled into the yard!

around here it doesn't matter as they buy the battery itself as it isn't by weight

Had to quickly scrape up enough to cover slightly over due phone/internut and power bills so I threw a few small lots of stuff together that has been taking up shop space here in southwest MN.
61 lbs #2 insulated copper wire at $1.00/lb
11 1/2 lbs computer wire at .65/lb
#1 insulated (Romex) $1.65/lb
23 lbs gold connector plugs at $1.00/lb
19 lbs #2 copper at $2.55/lb
#1 $2.65/lb
light ballasts .12/lb
transformers .22/lb
low grade boards .19/lb
cord ends and mixed electrical clippings .14/lb
This was a spur of the moment deal where the buyer found time to come out to my place and sort as I brought out barrels with stuff and dumped them on tarps.
I ended up with $222. cash which more than met my immediate needs .........for the day anyway.

Anyone able to give me an estimate of how much I can get for bike frames? Have 4 of them sitting in my garage. How to turn them in - take wheels/chains off? Value? Any help appreciated.

Keep scrapping

BTW - pulled apart a 15 year old canister vacuum this week. Haven't weighed it, but a lot of copper wiring in there.

Call the yards by you and ask. Some take them with tires on and some do not.
