PAID 8.68 for them , got 16.40 with a few left overs to process at home... like chair base that is al... but with steel casters that need to be sawed off. one that has a plastic insert for the swivel . one that has weird screws , t-25 . and plastic casters. lolol lots of busy work to upgrade the metals from the 155 shred to 200 a ton -clean steel.

btw. did an experiment on some xmas lights from the gfs work..... I cut out the lights, so as to have just ''wire'' and the bulbs...

unprocessed lights get paid at .19
I got #2 with 50% RECOVERY for 1.05 and then they gave me .10 for the bulbs with bases ie copper content.
not a great return on time invested . but then it is not to hard to do while sitting over a tote .

I've been cutting the lights out of Xmas strings for a while, but never knew I could sell them. Thanks!

Price drop to $140 a ton for sheet iron. Good news is that a smaller yard by my place is paying for prepared steel, when I called my regular yard today they gave 3 different prices for steel! Before only one price for peddlers.

Will she buy paper from anyone? Or is this like the cardboard deal you have with her? $.02 for paper and going there anyway why not take it!

No clue where the paper and cardboard are going but any glass and plastic that is stamped CRV must be going to California. And I would think the other glass and plastic non CRV (and lower prices) go there on the same truck...

FULL CIRCLE... in the 60's as a kid I used to raid the state park picnic area for returnable bottles. the local church did 'paper drives' continually.
