Another "What the Hell Did I Sell Lot"

Postby TheJonasCollegeFund » Sun Aug 24, 2014 6:38 pm

Been selling some coins on ebay. From time to time I get these older, but not silver, Italian coins. The cool ones have a semi-naked female. Hubba-hubba!

Anyway, these small lots of Italian coins always gets some bids.

Well I made a small lot of 11 coins and put it up for 1 day only. Starting at $0.99 + shipping.

Look what happened.....WOW!

This is not like me to not know what coins I am offering, These other guys knew what I didn't!

I was gone all afternoon entertaining(making fun of) my wife and her bowling team. I get an email from the ended auction....I about lost it! The last time I looked it was only at $5!

What the heck was in there....oh shoot!

Anyway, see if you see the big $$$ coin in the lot!

Yep, they got a whopper. But in my past, I have never got lucky with higher "book-priced" coins. So I will take it.

Lesson learned. No excuses.

You did fine.
I would probably have done the same thing. Italian coins are usually such crap.

Bully!

Maybe.....maybe not.

The other 10 came mostly from you.

The buyer said he would have went $250 max.

Won't happen again!

Yeah, that 1924 is the key date for those.

It might have gone higher if the other side was visible as well.

It can be tough to get catalog value right now on those, but the winner should be happy!

(I was the high bidder until the last 30 seconds or so, and then got steam-rolled to oblivion)

Glad it did well for you!
