What should I be looking for?

Postby Silver Runner » Mon Mar 18, 2013 7:49 pm

Hi everyone,
I was wondering what I should be looking for in the LCS world coin bin? Is there any low-hanging fruit here that I should keep my eye out for on a regular basis? In other words, what coins do you commonly find in the world coin bin that have a significant value to purchase price? Almost all the LCS in my area charge $0.25 per coin. This normally rules out nickel bullion and copper bullion products. I do consider finding a Canadian dollar a great find. I just quadrupled my money, but are there other exchange related finds or obselete world coins that you consistently discover?

Thanks for any guidance,

Japanese 50 100 500 yen. they are worth about $01 per yen

I recently bought 23,000 yen for under $50.

Australian dollars.

For .25 you can also pull tokens, all really old (100+ year old) coins/.
