100 yuan value?

Postby justoneguy » Tue Aug 11, 2015 12:14 pm

I sold most of my foreign currency at a yard sale last weekend, but
I kept the [2005] 100 yuan/renmin and [1980]2 renmim.
I thought they'd be worth a little more.
any idea on their value?
any interest?

Yuan is worth about 15 cents, so roughly $15 for the 100 and 30 cents for the 2

should have put scans of the foreign currency on here for us to see before you sold! I bought a $500+ Chinese note at an estate sale for $2 one time (it was a professionally run sale so I didn't feel bad).

I knew the yuan was current and figured it would have an exchange rate and maybe a premium.
the rest were all just old worn out bills from the 1800's.
nobody would have wanted.
