I picked up 15 of the new 100s today from a Wells Fargo. Had to go to a few before I found some.

I like how they look but they are very different. They seem more blue than green in person.

ETA: I have already Where's Georged some of them :shh:

I picked up 14 of them on friday. My bank had got them in on thursday. They were sequential notes from the Minneapolis Fed. I spent a few and am hanging on to 10 sequentials for now. Does anyone know if notes were printed for all 12 of the Federal Reserves? Who will be the first to find a star note?

I got the first one that my branch got on Saturday. Thought about saving it, but in the end it's fiat, with Geithner's signature to boot, and decided to just fold it and put it in my wallet for my next box of nickels.

Serious. Sales are pretty dry now, but when I typed that I had just had a sale of one on eBay for $140. Two days after that I had a lot of three sell for $369, and now they aren't selling at all. I guess that just proves how small the window can be sometimes.

If this is not common info yet, here ya go!!
I just held a stack of 50 of the new hundreds in myhand.
There is some kind of chip inside each note (actually 2 or 3 chips)
You cannot feel them if holding 1 or 2.
In a stack they are obvious.
under the hologram strip there is a tiny block at the lower side of the bill and the higher side of the bill.
Holding the stack it was easy to feel that the spots where the chips are is definitely considerably thicker than the rest of the bill.
They will not sit flat in a nice stack.
This made me want to stomp my foot onto the stack to knock out the chips ability to function.
Now accepting direct payments through Wells Fargo bank and TD bank.

Just hit them with a big electrical impulse and it has the same effect on RFID chips as an EMP bomb would on the electrical grid, roughly speaking. You could rig up a system with a 6V battery or something.

Did you try this yourself?
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Not much activity in this part of the forum lately so I thought I would post something. I have now seen the new $100 note from all 12 of the feds, although I have only seen star notes from the Philadelphia Fed. I saw something new on Monday 03-02. To this point every note that I have seen in Minnesota has been printed at the Fort Worth facility. On Monday I saw my first notes printed at the Washington D.C. facility. They were from the Chicago Fed.

Up to this point all of the released notes were series 2009A. The series 2009 notes were printed but on hold supposedly for inspection. On the uspapermoney.info web site they state that the series 2009 notes were being released in early 2016. Yesterday at the bank I got 9 series 2009 notes from the Minneapolis Fed. I believe that these notes were printed in 2010. Better late than never?
