lotta stamps: CAPTION THIS

Postby uthminsta » Tue Apr 29, 2014 1:20 pm

This envelope is going out in the mail today. It's a very common occurrence for me, as some of you can attest to. I bought a large amount of unused postage from a member here a long time ago. What is not common about this particular envelope is the fairly-current forever stamp in the top right corner... it's just that I wanted to do 8-cent-ers for this one, and I didn't think they would fit, so using that one made it possible.

Anyway, let's see if you all can come up with some clever captions for this pic!

Couldn't pick a favorite, but here are some options for you:

"Do these stamps make my package look big?"
"No matter how many stamps you use, your package isn't that big"
"You can use as many stamps as you want, but it won't make your package any bigger"
"I know what you're thinking, and yes, it was necessary"
"And you said it wasn't divisible by 8"
"Dear People who control postal rate changes....It looks like I won"
"Dear Small Flat Rate Box.....I beat you"

Dos Equis Version:
"I don't always mail letters, but when I do, I use lot of stamps."

That's about all I've got, good luck.
"You can go if you want, but all they make are coins there"- Quote from the Philidelphia, PA visitors center desk clerk, after inquiring about going on a tour of the MINT

Uthminsta may have slightly misunderstood the "Stamp Out Hunger" slogan when sending in his donation.
"Deferential, glad to be of use, Politic, cautious, and meticulous; Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse; At times, indeed, almost ridiculous— Almost, at times, the Fool." ~Eliot

8 cent stamps, 8 looks like a snowman?
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

You got it half right, its a golf term for scoring an 8+, because of the shape. That's a pretty obscure joke, haha.
