I like going to auctions. I'm off work this weekend and in my search I found an coin/currency auction.
Features are lots of silver, proofs, etc. What really surprised me was the amount of 1934 one hundred dollar bills they are offering. Why would someone save these so long and sacrifice their purchase power? Is there any value for these.

If the note is crisp/CU than there is some value, otherwise not.

People save all kinds of things in hope that they are going to be worth something.

Sadly it is not crisp at all. There are about$1000.00 worth of 20's, 50's, and 100.'s.
Can't understand some one saving all those bills. I guess with the gold ban and banking issues one would have to keep savings safe somewhere.
