I have not gotten a ,W, that I can remember. Frankly, I font have a clue as to what quarters are ,nifc.

So the Nifc quarters are clad s mint. Starting in 2012 5 per year until 2021 only 1 that year.

Washington crossing the Deleware no clad s mints for that coin.

Then starts the women's quarters in 2022 5 coins per year.

The W quarters are not Nifc's

So at thend of 2023 there should be the following

1 nifc cent
1 nifc Nickel
1 nifc dime
56 nifc quarters
47 nifc halfs
2 nifc Large dollars
65 nifc Small dollars

$151 in small dollars today yielded five NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2005-D Sac (x2)
2012-D Presidential (Arthur)
2013-D Presidential (Taft)

2014-P Presidential (FDR)

Back in the saddle! I've now found over half of all the small dollar NIFCs (62 of 123). A bunch of new releases will arrive in 2024 of course but for now, halfway to my goal feels sweet.

$144 in small dollars today yielded four NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2007-D Sac
2016-D Native Am (Code Talkers)
2020-D Presidential (Bush)

2021-D Am Innovation (VA)

Another great ratio of finds/keepers. The smaller amounts, under $250 or so, seem to get the best results lately. Only ten more presidentials left...yet still no Reagan coins.

$235 in small dollars today yielded eight NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2007-P Sac
2007-D Sac
2012-D Presidential (Arthur)
2014-D Presidential (Coolidge)
2014-D Presidential (FDR)
2014-D Native Am (Hospitality)
2016-P Presidential (Nixon)
2021-P Native Am (N.A. in the Military)

Now that I've passed the halfway mark in small dollar NIFC's, searches with results like this will probably be the norm. Still glad to nab a new one.

$1003 in small dollars today yielded one NIFC.

2008-P Sac

One of my out-of-the-way banks had a box that someone ordered but never picked up. Well, I'm not gonna pass that up! Lots of new looking Millard Fillmore and Three Sisters Sacs. Pretty underwhelming results overall. Oh, and a 2006 Canadian loonie snuck into the bunch. Might be able to score several hundred more soon but my teller has to buy them from his coworker. Hopefully they're from a better source.

$504 in small dollars today yielded three NIFC.

2002-P Sac
2003-P Sac
2018-D Am Innovation (Intro coin)

Eight different banks today and this haul seemed promising, but nothing new to add.

So instead, here are some of my latest NIFC stats:

(Found out of NIFCs issued)

SBA - 2 out of 3 (missing only 1981-D)
Sac - 12 out of 14 (need 2006-D and 2008-D)
Pres - 30 out of 40
Native Am - 12 out of 24
Am Innov - 10 out of 42

Total - 66 out of 123

My teller source promised me he could deliver $1,400 today but ended up having just the box. No complaints here! Six new ones is a fantastic result.

$180 in small dollars today yielded two NIFCs.

2012-D Presidential (Arthur)
2014-P Presidential (FDR)

Think it's time to hit banks on the other side of town that I don't visit very often, and maybe a few that have turned me away in the past.

I've found 130 of all possible 181 non-proof small dollars (72%). Wanna see if I can make it to at least 80% by year's end.

$90 in small dollars today yielded four NIFCs.

2002-D Sac
2015-D Presidential (Ike)
2015-P Presidential (JFK)
2020-P Presidential (Bush)

Nine banks and one credit union did not produce much to search thru, though the latter was the first time I'd seen a coin counter in the lobby.

$1,148 in small dollars today yielded 33 NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2002-P Sac (x2)
2002-D Sac
2005-D Sac (x2)
2008-P Sac
2012-P Presidential (Arthur)

2014-P Presidential (Hoover) (x2)
2015-P Presidential (Truman) (x2)
2023-D Native Am (Maria Tallchief) (x12)

New neighborhood, new banks, pretty good results. Wanted to go heavy today since I won't have a chance to search next week. Glad to find my first 2023 dollars, which were obviously part of a freshly opened roll. Also among this batch was a 1978-D Ike and a Barbados 1 dollar from 2000.

$117 in dollars today yielded 3 NIFCs.

2013-P Presidential (McKinley)
2013-P Presidential (Teddy R)
2016-P Presidential (Nixon)

$15 of these were Ikes, but nothing special apart from that.

I've decided that as of Jan 1st I'm not gonna hunt dollar coins anymore. Three years of searching and only 47 holes left to fill (out of a possible 181), but the majority of those (30) are the American Innovation series, which are pretty tough to come across in the wild. That leaves 17 dates from the other series that I can reasonably expect to find by Dec 31st, and if I don't, I'll just pick them up at coin shows. At year's end I'll give a wrap up of everything found and unfound, and who knows, maybe I'll find a Ronnie Reagan by then.

$525 in small dollars today yielded 9 NIFCs.

2005-P Sac
2012-D Presidential (Arthur)
2014-P Presidential (FDR) (x2)
2014-D Presidential (FDR)
2015-P Presidential (Truman) (x2)
2015-P Presidential (Ike) (x2)

Few if any new items for the collection is fairly typical lately. I'm mostly upgrading my existing finds with shinier examples. It's still a thrill finding NIFCs and I've got another decent sized batch waiting for me next week from another bank.

Catch & release.

I keep only 1981 SBAs & any Innovation dollars.

Toyed with the idea of selling NIFC's by the bunch on eBay so I kept my eye on some seller's auction of 100 Pres NIFCs...no takers. A local coin dealer said the only BU NIFC rolls that have any premium are Grover Cleveland's for some reason :?: so i doubt circ examples would sell.

$675 in small dollars today yielded 8 NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

2014-D Presidential (Hoover)
2014-P Presidential (FDR)
2014-D Native Am (Hospitality)
2019-P Am Innov (DE) (x2)
2019-P Am Innov (PA)
2019-D Am Innov (PA)
2022-P Am Innov (TN)

(Note: over all, the edge lettering on the AI series is rather faint, of the examples I've found anyway)

Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I claim that American Innovation dollars are hard to find, a small bunch turns up in my latest bank run, including two new ones. What's even more odd is that I'm down to just five NIFC presidents...yet still no Reagan's. Similarly, I've found at least one of each Nat Am design except the 2014 Trade Routes. I'd like to finish at least one NIFC dollar series before I give them up at the end of the year, but the clock is ticking.

Another impromptu visit to a little-visited bank that paid off. Wish the finds reflected that but oh well. Teller told me they have a full box someone didn't pick up. I'll be back tomorrow with more cash!

$1,000 in small dollars today yielded ten NIFCs.

Bold is new to the collection.

1981-P SBA
1981-S SBA (has proof-like surfaces)
2005-D Sac (x2)
2007-D Sac (x2)
2012-P Presidential (Arthur)
2015-D Presidential (JFK)
2017-D Nat Am (Sequoyah)
2019-P Nat Am (In Space)

Got the box mentioned yesterday...all customer wrapped rolls. Not promising. What I did find hit all around the coins I need (1981-D SBA, 2006-D & 2008-D Sac) but I did squeak out a new one, so not a total loss. I've now matched my 58 "new for the collection" dollar total from last year and I'm inching towards 80% found of all small dollars.
