Hey SLICK, we're coming down to Charleston around Christmas / New Years... anything going on around then? Like a smaller, local show? Or any good shops to visit?

This upcoming Sunday... Dec 19, Just East of Pittsburgh: http://www.numismaster.com/ta/inside_nu ... ayId=36700

And for google maps, use this link: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&clien ... CBQQ8gEwAA

129 robbins station rd, Irwin, PA for you GPS users.

Listing says a smallish show, but I promise that this is one of the better shows to attend for deals and great coins that you don't get to see often.

I hope to see you there!

I got to see Theo and ExBingoAddict at the table today... great to meet Theo aka Jeff for the first time. Both guys are great people and I hope to see them at future shows. So, who do I get to meet tomorrow?

Activity was brisk and transactions were constant for about 3 hours. As I was in the middle of one deal, another would walk by and get in line. Regretfully, I had little time for conversation with people. I bought and sold gold, silver, and platinum. I saw some interesting coins, and bought a beautiful Top 100 DMPL Carson City Morgan.

I'll be listing for sale the 2 one oz platinum coins on Sunday night if they don't sell tomorrow. One is an Isle of Man and the other is a proof Koala. Feel free to send me offers tonight, as I just might pull it from the case tomorrow morning before anyone else looks at it.

I don't have a lot of experience with coin shows, but this was a nice set up. As Micheal said, it was very well attended and his table was one of the busier ones there. I really enjoyed meeting Micheal and appreciated the nice deal I got on some 90% halves.

The Scranton Coin Club annual show is this Saturday, March 26 - Sunday, March 27 at Oblates of St. Joseph's Seminary in Pittson,PA
I was at another coin show here last month by a different club.It was well attended, actually quite packed, was kind of surprised at the crowds. The best part of it was, there was one table where they were selling copper bars and rounds.
According to many of the other tables and dealers,he did very well, just about sold all of his inventory.
They were amazed that so many people were buying copper, and stunned he made so many sales.

This should be a nice show... lots of dealers from across the country and lots of coins and lots of bullion. While setting up last night, I talked to a dealer that had 175+ pounds of wheat cents with him. Another had half of his table covered in silver rounds and bars.

I am in the second row from the right hand side wall when you walk in. 3 dealers deep. Come say hi! 8-)

Good show today...bought my first PCGS MS quality $10 indian from a fellow realcent member Mr. Harmony himself. (Mike went way above and beyond helping me out today and I would like to say: THANK YOU MIKE)

Also met slaphot (nick)....Very Nice guy with a good eye and an uncanny talent for finding silver less than spot. Nick is one of those guys that can walk out onto a show floor with a hundred bucks and walk out that evening with $200. Hats off to the skills my man.

It was a pretty good show this weekend. I had a great time hanging out with Mike (Market Harmony) and Chris (Rodebaugh). Both are really good guys that know their stuff. I got some really good deals on silver as well. The next show in Monroeville, PA is May 6th-8th. See you there!

It seems like Pittsburgh is a haven for realcent members and great deals on coins and bullion... I'm not sure if one is a reflection of the other, but it is an interesting note nonetheless. It was GREAT to see those that I did... and I got to meet another realcent member, too... alpacafarmer. As a collective group of like-minded people, we truly are blessed to have one another.

Yes, the next big Pittsburgh show is May 6,7, and 8th... PAN Show. I'll have a table and EVERYONE is welcome. In addition to this show, there is a HUGE show in October. The ANA is hosting the World Fair of Money (I think that is what it is called) in Pittsburgh. I will have a table there, as well. But that show will be enormous... huge... stupendous... instupituously gigantic... bigger than fat albert big... It would also make a great destination for a regional realcent get together

Anyway... the show went well... sold all of my silver  and bought some really great coins. But the best part were the people... and nearly electrocuting myself
