The 2017 coins should be starting to show up soon. I have enjoyed seeing where and when each coin has been found first, so I thought I would start a new thread for 2017. Post where and when you find them and I will try to put date and finder in this first post. If you don't mind it might be interesting to know what city or at least what part of the country the coin was found in.

Wonder how our military bases overseas get resupplied with coins and currency? Does the Treasury ship them bags of 2017 coins, or does DoD have a contract with someone like American Express? Does ANY foreign base conduct business with MPCs now?

My son got an Effigy Mounds Quarter in his change at school for lunch yesterday (3/16). We let him buy lunch once or twice a month, and he comes home with 3 quarters. Mint mark of P... Raleigh NC. It's in his quarter folder, and he's still missing a good half dozen or so state parks quarters.

Thanks for posting everybody. So far we have 6 different people with a first to find. As usual I still havent seen a 2017 coin yet. I am hoping to do better than last year when I saw my first 2016 coin on June 12th. Speaking of 2016 coins, there are still a few open spots for first to find for quarters. Also no one has reported any 2016 Canadian coins yet.

Found my first 2017's this week. Three of them! A few days ago found a Philly penny. It's pretty neat seeing the P on there. Today, in the till at work, I found a P and a D nickel! Pretty early for D to show up in western NY!
