The 2020 coins have arrived! I enjoy seeing where and when each coin has been found first, so I started a new thread for 2020. Post where and when you find them and I will try to put date and finder in this first post. If you don't mind it might be interesting to know what city or at least what part of the country the coin was found in.

Once again some one found a 2020 coin before I got the 2020 first to find thread up. Congratulations to thecrazyone for the first reported 2020 coin! It was posted on 02-07-2020 in the Members Only General Discussion Forum with a nice photo if you would like to have a look at it. I would have to look back to see if this is a record, but this is pretty early in the year for the new coins to show up. Has anyone ever found a new coin in January?

On the boards! Was beginning to wonder if I'd go 0-for-February this year but a Vegas casino find took care of that.

The 2nd earliest I've found a new nickel, missing out on the record by just a few days (2/14/15). Now if I can just find the P-mint by April 3rd I'll set a new personal best for both nickels in a year, eclipsing a record that's been standing for 14 years.

Already claimed by Recyclersteve but I got my first 2020-D cent today. Check your change people, no one has claimed the -P nickel yet and the Weir Farm quarter has been out since the beginning of April.

Salt River Bay (D-mint) qtr. found on ground at a McDonald’s drive-thru. I don’t remember ever finding something just 13 days after the official release date.

Way to go Slaphot! We have a two way tie for most 2020 first to finds, Recyclersteve and Slaphot with three each. Only missing two W quarters to have found all of the business strike coins released so far. Keep looking!
