Why do some bills have HI stamped on them? And, are they real or counterfeit? Here is an example:

Used during WW 2. I think they were used in case Hawaii was overrun by the Japanese.

Yeah, it was a silver cert. Wife wanted to buy it for me while she is traveling. Told her I appreciate it but not to, as I've been reading that some of those, and the "short snorters", can be fakes. It also has a hole punched in it :(

Excited to announce that I have one on the way that costed less than the one in the pic, and, is in better shape.

I'm really looking forward to getting this, I love the history behind this bill!!
