TW was infront of me at the Credit Union today, she had a large amount of CRW to turn in for these "worthless" coins her late husband had spent so much time collecting, for FRN's. I told her I would gladly buy them from her at face value! She agreed and I was able to get quite a few IHC's, LWC & some CDN cents as well from her. I should put these in the next KSA! LOL!

BTTT - bump to the top, or back to the top. People sometimes post this to get their thread to appear at the top of the forum. And that is what I am doing with this post, how smart is that?

Coo grading terms like DMPL make me think of FSB and FS:
FSB: Full Split Bands, as on a Mercury dime reverse.
FS: Full Steps, as on a well-struck Jefferson nickel reverse.

WYSIWYG: What You See Is What You Get, often seen in auctions where the seller simply posts a pic... enticing you to just take a little look-see.

And seeing Roosie brings a few more oft-mentioned types to mind:
Mercs: mercury dimes
SLQ: Standing Liberty Quarter
JFK: Kennedy half dollar
Bens? Walkers? Etc

Wondering if political terminology should be here or not... Choose what you like!
Dems, Libs,
BHO, King Zero, etc: terms for our president
MSM: mainstream media...
ZH: Zero Hedge website

Good info... how did we not have NI yet? I would add RMB for Renminbi since it may be the world's reserve currency soon. Oh, and EU means European Union...

Renminbi is the domestic name for the currency, CNY is the international code. 8-)

Good point of clarification, Bill. Thanks.

This should be for related materials only. There are so many acronyms for non-realcent terms it would be overkill IMHO....

Might I also suggest this be made available to any and all non-member whom don't have access to the members forums by placing it where it can also be seen?

NIB (new in box)
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
