Gun prices are VERY low.

Guns are cheap. Ammo not so cheap.

Guns don't work without ammo.

Is anyone else experiencing this.

Apparently I'm going to have to develop some reloading skills.

I always wanted to learn to reload - just lack the uninterrupted time and space...

finally got as much .40s&w as I think I need -- still picking up 5.56 and 9mm when I can

I don't remember pmags ever being this cheap

between them and spare bcg's I barely have any money left for silver

I have heard that a lot of reloading components are hard to come by as well.

I think manufacturers are just catching up. On guns, they are dropping but some folks with used guns to sell still think this is early 2013. I've seen more ammo available, and prices are slowly dropping. I think it's a caliber thing, .22 LR is still scarce and stupid high. .38/357 is still high, 9mm dropping as is 5.56. 7.62x54r is still cheap in spam cans. Don't follow much on the rest.

This is in Alabama, and prices can vary drastically between counties. When Auburn wins the price goes goes down in LA (lower alabama) but if they loose, it's SHTF, supply shrinks and not a box in sight 8-) . Now, when the Tide wins, it's different. Everyone starts shooting in celebration and price goes up :P north of Montgomery. Those of us in Birmingham just watch football on Saturday, and then decide where we travel for ammo accordingly    .

What ammo are you looking for?

From what I've seen ammo is back to pricing it was before the scare. Guns are cheaper than then.

We have a Bass Pro Shop about 2 miles from here....yesterday picked up four 100 count CCI mini mags for $7.99 each and four boxes of American Eagle 22lr 50 count for $2.39....and more CCI small rifle primers for $3.99 each tray. They also had other calibers available. Still high on the 556 at about 50 cent a round.

My dad just bought a bunch of reloading equipment. It will be nice to know someone with that skill/equipment.

I am not into reloading yet, but I have been told this is a VERY good deal to get started:
https://kempfgunshop.com//index.php?pag ... &Itemid=41

Outside of that I would pick a caliber and go with one of these:
http://leeprecision.com/reloading-kits/ ... er-pistol/ complete kit (minus rubber mallet) to reload one caliber for <$50.

yeah...it was an info post...I see the adds from Natchez, Midway and others....

I reload my ammo on a RCBS rock Chucker Supreme. I was pretty good I thought when I was sending 10 rds of 9mm downrange with 2 in the ten ring....now that I reload I am sending 10 rds downrange and all are in the ten ring!

Ammo is cheap and available. Same with guns. True, some .22lr is still "hard" to find. Especially the subs. But everything else is pretty much back.

Now reloading might be a different story. Depending on how much you need, components can be hard to find at a decent price.

Find what every you need at the right price.... http://www.gunbot.net/

You can also set the price you are willing to pay and I think it will notify you if that is posted....

Sure you can find almost anything, but most are quite proud of what they have. A lot to look at though.

I would be happy to help and answer questions you/he may have. Taking your time and reloading WITHOUT distraction is key. I hope you can find someone local to assist in setting up the dies and oversee/assist in the learning curve.
