Dang Counterfeiter...Excited for a Moment

:o Came across this counterfeit last night while sorting.
My heart skipped a beat until I got the magnifier in better focus.
Dang counterfeiter, but it's still fun to get excited with the hobby now and then.

Do not give up yet. While it is obviously an altered coin, there is a niche market for these. Several years ago I sold several altered date wheats to a collector that was referred to me by a local coin club.

While the sale price may be less than you might like, as long as you are honest about it being altered, and you have a willing buyer, you should be ok.

That's the super rare 1944-D partial first 4 error worth thousands. Ok- maybe not...
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
