$50 Copper & Flat Rate Shipping Question

Postby camtender » Sun Jan 02, 2011 11:29 pm

What is the right Flat Rate shipping box to only ship $50? I have seen the posts for $100 FV, but not for $50.
thanks

Still would be a medium flat rate, the 8.5' - 11.5'. But you need to make sure to put plenty or packaging material around it so it doesn't just rattle around in there. I would try experimenting using small flat rate boxes for spacers, since they fit side by side in a medium nicely.

There are the following available fro usps:
Flat rate envelope- not recomended for shipping-same price as the small flat rate box 4.95
Flate rate Small box-probably fits up to 10.00 face? 4.95
Flate rate Medium box, 2 different sizes- fits up to 100.00 face 10.95
Flat rate Large Box- not sure how much you can fit in here 14.95

You get a small discount plus free delivery confirmation if you print the postage out on usps.com

Hope that helps

Another thing to remember is the flat rate weight limit is 70 LBS. That's including the box, so don't try to stick 70 lbs in a flat rate. The post office already hates boxes that weigh more than a pound lol.

I have shipped up to $12 in one

Flat rate Medium box, 2 different sizes- fits up to 100.00 face 10.95

About 68 lbs or approx. $100 face value is the MAX.

Flat rate Large Box- not sure how much you can fit in here 14.95

Same as Medium. Weight limit would be passed if you tried to put in more.

It is easy to get the weight close, but what is the highest number of pennies shipped? I think $101.50 FACE in coppers could be done.

I've sent out a few medium with just 2 $25 penny boxes of rolled up cents. I put one on each end and then stuff like old boxes that can't be re-used, all of my old wrappers from searching, and lots of newspapers. You don't want the contents shifting and you don't want it to get smashed. I re-inforce with alot of tape but would hate to see it get opened on you.
