Wife brought me home the pennies in her work desk :)

Postby lsujoeylsu » Mon Jan 10, 2011 4:53 pm

Since I'm not to this I wasn't really sure what to look for. I did find about 20 or so coppers and these 3. She only brought home about 80 pennies so I guess this isn't too bad. After collecting football cards for so long I told her I wanted to start sorting pennies. After a few rolls of the eyes she finally understands it will be a much cheaper hobby. Here are the scans from my crappy scanner.

Not a bad start on the wheats.

Go to your bank and get a $25.00 box of pennies. That will keep you busy for a while and give you a chance to find something really cool.

Thanks. I oredered a couple books to help me know what to look for. I will probably scan my first few finds to make sure I'm not missing anything.

good wifey. When mine worked she would bring me home silver, but couldn't get her to search the pennies.

A cheap hobby, for us, to a wife is a good hobby to have. Far less hassle. Plus, in this case, you get that added benefit that she helped you & you can say thanks.

I sort co-workers change jars at work with their permission and keep the coppers, wheaties and nickels and give them the same value in FRN's. Best find was a 1912-S. its not a lot of volume, but its nice to bring home several rolls of coppers without having to dump zincs.

My mom brings home change from work. Some of her co-workers even give her coins to give me. Mostly foreign coins and a few wheats.

Really Weird, she looks almost exactly like my EX & she still looks about the same as she did 25yrs ago, from her current pic at least. At times, I somewhat wondered where she ended up. Not sure if I am glad or not she, I guess, ended up with another RealCent member. I long ago, had to end our relationship, as she would not work with me on my copper hobby. Good luck with your penny request tho, she was not much interested way back when I asked, but I guess, never know, until you ask. Good luck with her & your penny request ;)

If she will not work with me on the copper hobby, I'm going to have to consult my lawyer.
