I never thought I would despise a BU coin that is otherwise so pretty, now I look at the Zincs like a roach in my cereal.

Especially the shields.

I ran across my first one this week and put it in my "foreign" pile at first because I only noticed the shield until later when I actually examined it. It really does not "feel " or look like a penny...

I had a teacher last year who said he remembered when they changed the composition in '82. He said people didn't like them because they didn't "feel right".
