My first wild indian!

Postby Tantalar » Wed Jan 12, 2011 4:55 pm

Found my first wild indian!! He is dated 1880. He is in decent shape since I can clearly read the date but it is certainly worn and very dark and grimy colored! I think It took about 12 boxes of pennies before I found him! I figured I would brag and also just report in since I hear that you guys have an ongoing record of finds for them.

Congratulations on the find. It took me over 100 boxes before I found one. Found one at the end of 2010, after a 2 year skunking.

That's OK....just brag and brag and brag. There's alot of members here still looking for their first IH in the wild. It took me almost a year of searching. It's such a cool thing to see pop out of a roll. It does catch your eye!

Great job....now you have to find #2!

Thanks! I hope I will find another soon! I am in CT and I get the sense that not too many people around here are into CRH so I think ive got a lot of untapped resources to sift through.

Congrats on your first IH, Tantalar! I'm still waiting to find my first one in a roll.

Be sure to report your find in the 2011 Indian Head Tracking thread:

http://realcent.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2682

Bragging is good in this area for cool finds, first finds, etc. but for actual tracking of various types of coins you need to make a post in the appropriate tracking thread too.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:
