Here's an incredible (albeit incredibly small) copper yield. I'm pretty fresh to the copper harvesting game (think I'm closing in on $125 fv copper) and I'm a small-time handsorter (usually $30/wk at most). On a whim I decided to try a bank in town that I'd never gotten any pennies from, and I hit them up for $10 worth. First oddity was the rolls themselves. "Minitube" is stamped near the bottom edge of the roll, and each of them have a round cardboard insert in the bottom. For all I know they might be fairly common, but I'd never seen them before. Here's a pic:

Now onto the copper yield:

506/1000 CU which included 7 wheaties including a '43 steel, and one of those super-cool JFK stamped '73. I'll take 50%+ any day! :D

Great finds!!!

I've had dimes in that type of roll before but no other denominations yet. They sure are easy to reroll the coins in that type wrapper.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

It's fun to read what everyone is finding.

Enjoy your sorts! :geek:
