Found my first indian today!!!

Postby gothboi30 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 12:11 am

Found a beautiful '05 in the 4th roll of the $25 Brinks box I got this morning!! It's my first indian, despite over 2 years of roll hunting!! It's also the second oldest coin I've ever found roll hunting. Liberty on the headband is still partially visible!! YAY!! I'm about 75% finished with the box; cu % is slightly below average, though I've already pulled 8 wheats (including one in the very first roll I opened and a well worn '29D). Once the box is finished, I'll post all the totals and stats in the tracking threads section. Just wanted to share my good fortune!! :D

Hey, nice find. Welcome to the club. You say this was your second oldest; what coin beat it? Congrats on the find, keep them coming.

Corsair- My oldest crh find to date (I started searching in the fall of 2008) is the EF 1883 no cents V nickel I found in late 2008. Weird thing is, I found this less than a month after I began roll hunting. Weird or just a wicked case of beginners luck? You decide. ;)
