First box with Ryedale

Postby Dave 77 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 9:05 pm

Finally got around to posting my first results with the Ryedale. Thye totals were from the $25 box were
727 Coppers
17 Wheats (1930, 1940, 1944 x4, 46d, 46s, 1950, 1952 x2, 1955, 1956 x2, 1956d, 1957d x2)
4 Canadians ( 1970, 1973, 1976, 2001)
Pretty good results. The ryedale definitively speeds up the process too.

with the machine i would guess that you have more time to catalogue your findings more than before. it would definately help with us that also sort and look for errors and varieties. man, i need to get me one of those Ryedales.

I remember my first box! The speed of the machine, the chink chink chink of the pennies in the bucket. It was all to easy and before you know it, 1 turns in to 2, 2 turns into 4 and so on. What started off as a simple hobby turns dark and you find yourself laying awake at night trying to figure out how to get more, more pennies to feed the habit, to feed the machine, the machine must eat!!!! A 1 box hobby turns into a 10 box a week habit. Beware!!!

But now I'm all better. I am stable, I can walk away from the red machine. I keep a respectable 4 box a week habit. Well 6 this week.

Enjoy the Ryedale. It is one of the best things to happen to the hobby.

if one box a week is good - two are better...................and on and on until you are sorting many boxes a week.

I remember my first Ryedale. I was already 100 boxes behind on sorting.. had them piled up all around my office at work. That Coin Artist just sawed through 'em.
If your percentages are low.. just sort more. If your percentages are high.. just sort more
