Canadian Copper Cache

Postby beauanderos » Mon Jan 31, 2011 11:27 am

Thought something might be up when I found two of these in one roll. In the space of just two or three boxes I found
1934
1937
1938
1939 x 3
1940 x 3
1941 x 2
1942 x 2
1943
1944
1945
1946
1948 x 3
1949
1950 x 3
1951 x 3

and one I hadn't seen before... 1943 Newfoundland. I know the George VI's aren't all that rare, but they're fairly scarce to discover in California, so I thought it was pretty cool. These I found just cutting rolls open, should find a few more when I feed them thru the Ryedale.

I agree... That is pretty cool
"The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks create money is so simple the mind is repelled. With something so important, a deeper mystery seems only decent." John Kenneth Galbraith 1975

Pretty interesting. I've found a few older Canadians but never in that kind of quantity. :!:

I see from another link that they aren't very unusual at all. Someone else on this site has 120 rolls of them for sale

Very nice find. I also sometimes find American wheats, in Québes, from the 20's or 30's. We should organize a ''prisoner's exchange program''!!!
