Got my new Ryedale sidekick today!

Ran a $25 Box of CWR from my local CU.

Ended up with 25% copper, 9 wheats.

Also got a VERY thin 1973 penny, maybe acid washed or something.

Today I ran Zinc Accept first, then double checked the copper with a copper accept.

Only coin that rejected on copper accept was the thin 73.

Had a bunch of copper canadian in with the copper US, is it worth trying to tweak to get the canadian to reject(and keep seperately of course)?

My goal is to run 2 comparitors in series on the reject side so it does zinc accept then copper accept and should leave me with a small little pile of pre 43 wheats on the final reject.

I've noticed a different sound on Canadians as well. I can dump a roll of 50 pennies and there is what seems to be a higher pitch sound with a Canadian coin. (I'm not a sound expert, but that's what it seems like to me)

Also, I'm wondering if someone from Canada would say that when they dump a roll of Canadian coins they hear a noticeably different sound from the U.S. pennies...

It is weird that the coins would have a perceptibly different sound as both are 95% or more copper. Go figure.

I think your hearing the 98% ones the 95.5 one stand out as the are darker.

Ran another $40 today. A Mix of CWR and BWR from the local CU.

990 Coppers (24.75%)
13 Wheats (1939 oldest)
15 canadian coppers

Pulled out a very nice looking 1959 and 1960 in case i ever fill an album.

Nice. I wish I would have done that when I started. I started a while back and already have an album almost full, but it would be nice to have all the nice looking ones that have gone in the copper pile.
