Post creative uses for pennies here.

Here's one I came across today, someone decorated this table top with a penny mosaic: http://imgur.com/a/wn2el

That pattern is really nice, has an interesting 3-D effect.

But I'm wondering why he took the trouble to glue each penny down. Wouldn't the clear coat hold them in place well enough?

Probably because if he bumped the table or his cat jumped up on the table he would have to start over.

The wall and table top are both very impressive. Can you imagine putting a lot of time into assembly and then things don't align properly? That would be awful. Also, I wonder what someone would sell these for? It might be a nice money making opportunity for those who are comfortable they won't make mistakes who have the patience to put something like this together. It would also be important to have a good marketplace somewhere where you could be comfortable that you'd be able to sell these works of art. I wonder how many hours it took to put these together...

Also, I saw something once that I thought I'd mention here. Years ago, a coin dealer (who has been out of business for a long time) showed me a clip clock. It was a clock with twelve Lincoln pennies. The one on top had a decent sized clip in the 12 o'clock position on the coin. The one on the bottom had a clip in the 6 o'clock position and so on. I can't remember what he was asking for the clock, but I remember thinking it was one of the neatest things I'd seen.
