Help my analyze my find

Postby plus1hdcp » Fri Feb 04, 2011 10:12 pm

I found this one last night. As I am new to CRH, I have no idea what condition this coin would be. There is obvious wear but welcome your comments

You can upload directly from you computer with the 'upload attachment' tab.

The 1885 IHC is a real beater, but a little better date.

Go post your finds on the pre 1940 LMC and the IHC threads.

Nice finds! Keep it up.

I quick run down on what I see. Ag in grade/wear. Reverse post mint damage. Obv slight pitting/corrosion. Overall a 1885 AG cull IHC for I'm guessing .01 investment, not too shabby! Value? I'm guessing .30-1.00 if you found the right sucker. Congrats and welcome to the board! Haven't noticed you before!?!

Thanks Scott. I'm trying to learn more about coins and am not sure about all the nuances. I'm not a "coin" investor but CRH simply for the CU. However, I am trying to fill up a Whitman book of wheats during the hunt.
