Odd Canadian penny found today?

Postby scotto » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:41 pm

I found a Canadian penny today with a date 1867-1967. No maple leafs just a bird. Did Canada make a centennial version of their coinage in 67? I've never seen one like this.

You are right, it is for the centennial. The 5-cent coin is a rabbit...

I remember those (and the fish dimes) from a long time ago. Found a dove cent recently in a penny roll.
