Looking for copper!!

Postby highroller4321 » Tue Jun 02, 2015 6:45 pm

Hey everyone,

I am buying 3 different lots of copper pennies in the middle of the country and was wondering if anyone had any bigger lots that they wanted to sell. I have the semi a little over half full and would like to find another 8 or so tons to fill the truck out. Pick up time would be sometime between 2-4 weeks out. Semi is only going around the midwest and south so ideally be located between me and them!

PM me if interested!

Two questions,

1)Is the truck coming to Chicago?

2)Are you driving the truck?

#1 The truck will be in the midwest so a pickup near the Chicago area is easily doable.

#2 No, I am not driving the truck. I have freight contracts to move copper around the country.

On this particular load...NO

Shipping is all based on where you are and how many tons you have. The more tons we get the cheaper shipping is going to be. Since the truck is already over half full your shipping costs are going to be dramatically reduced!

So since there are a few of us in the Greater Chicagoland area, how many tons would you need to do this semi-annually?

3+ tons and I can do it whenever because that seems to be where the price breakdown is. 10+ tons is where the huge savings come in.

Keep in mind that I do not want rolled coin and everything needs to be put into one area....preferably somewhere with a loading dock because a lift gate normally adds $125-150ish to the load.

Would the back of my pick-up be considered a loading dock? 4x4 sits kinda high!

The trucking company wouldn't allow that because it would be considered a liability

Hey it looks like a copper caper. And, speaking of copper capers, some of you who remember the late Johnny Carson might remember this clip from 1968 with Jack Webb. This classic little gem is 2:48 long. Enjoy!

(oh yeah, I dare you to say that long line used by Webb at the end of the video ten times fast)

Adam,

will the truck have containers we can use or do we need to supply them and what type of container would you want if we had to supply them?
