I put 2-5 but the more I think about it I was stashing some 20 years ago and in the early 90's I would keep the copper from my spare change but did not start sorting boxes by hand until 3 years ago. The last year has been a blow out with my Ryedale and trading here.

I started hand sorted at the end of 2005. Moved to a Ryedale in 2006-2007. Moved to industrial sorters in 2008-2009.

I joined this forum and began hand sorting during the Thanksgiving holidays. Since then I have accumulated 50,000 coppers. Three weeks ago I decided to start selling them in 5000 cent lots on this board with the intent of establishing a feedback history. Now I'm down to 10,000. It appears I'm going backward when I should be going forward :?

started saving coppers from circulation in 03 or 04

started buying boxes in mid 2006

hand sorted heavy through 08

slowed down quite a bit since then - still hoarding what i can

I've collected my copper pennies that I get in change for probably 3 or 4 years, but I didn't get heavy in to hand sorting till a year ago.

I've been at it since the age of twelve. Of course, that's only seven years for me.

Little to no sorting in undergrad. 2000-2004

Started keeping all coppers 2nd year of D-school. 2005-2008

Now sorting $25-150/week in spurts. 2008-now

I am a newbie. Started 5 months ago. 25$ per week, every thursday, the bank stays open 'til 20h00, and it is less crowded. That is when I go.

I am even newer than mtalbot. I have been sorting my change since November 2010, and started hand sorting 1-2 boxes a week since mid-January.

Thinking about getting a Ryedale, since my dump bank does not care how many pennies or halves I bring them (for now anyway).

Whoa, I've been hoarding for longer than TXBullion?

;)

Hoarding 1/10 troy oz copper rounds since Winter 2009-2010. I don't remember the exact time.

When I started.. they were all copper! We just had to sort the big ones from the little ones. That was 46 years ago.

Well, I imagine Indians and wheaties count too so....about 21 years now I imagine. Bought my first coin when I was 8 early in 1990, I used to save up all the pennies around the house and my mother would drive me to the local coin store and let me buy coins to fill out my sets. Boy was I happy the first time I could afford to buy a roll of wheaties for 5.00 :) If your asking about bulk copper pennies which I can only imagine is the case, about 4 maybe 5 years can't remember. I remember thinking I stumbled upon some grand scheme that no one else had even noticed, boy was I suprised to find Realcent :)
