Current Copper Searching Percentages

I have been out of the sorting game for a while because of the lackluster Copper prices, but just curious of current percentages right now.

We used to have a percentage and reporting thread, but because the forum got slower around here it seems to have fell off.

When I first started in 2007 we were at 33% in the Midwest- how do we fare now?

Yup we had threads like those and an official for sometime- but the last post was little over a half decade ago

Hard to believe it been that long here since the sorting has began

I think most people were at 15% the last time I checked

I went thru a $25 box last night on the Ryedale: 21% copper; ~3% ugly abes; ~10 CA Cu; <10 tails; <dozen BU/AU copper. I know it's a small sample but very consistent with what I've been getting since day one here in the greater 'Cuse NY area. Except, I seem to find more ugly abes than ever before in the last couple of years or so. I think they are getting recycled from others but, my bucket is getting kinda full of them.

The other day I went thru a couple of bucks of customer rolls that had 5 Canadian Kings in them. Cracker Jacks, a box of chocolates (a prize in every package or you never know what your going to get,) I love this hobby.

I get around 15% copper and 10 to 12 wheats per bag on average.

Down to around 20% lately. I search a few dollars in CWR's per week. My average has been a steady 25% for years, but seems like it dropped in the last couple months.

Found a new bank not too far off my normal travel routes and I'm getting 20%+ from their boxes.

Well 8 years later we are standing at about 20% in the midwest.

It was closer 15% in the California and what not so I am guessing it went down a bit there too.

Copper fell off from $4 and the ban is still in place. Not much to say for the most part

I just finished sorting a box of pennies and the copper content was about 21% here in NJ.
