Survey of how much copper we're pulling from circulation

Postby Larkin » Mon Feb 14, 2011 11:33 am

Interested in doing a survey from the people who use this board. Here it is:

How much copper (in dollar terms) are you pulling from circulation on average a month?

I will compile the responses and provide a total by the end of the week if I can get a significant # of responses.

I will go first with:

$125.00 per month.

If you go to this thread:

You will see what the Copper Penny Hand Sorter Stats are for February. The thread for January is complete and closed if you want to look for that in the Tracking Thread section to get a better idea for a complete month.

Enjoy your coin searches, everyone. :geek:

Really depends on what my banks have on hand and how much time I have, according to my Excel spreadsheet I average around $25 a month.

About $125/month. I exclusively mine my small community bank but the number of bags they allow me to take are limited. I've dumped all my zincolns back into the bank for the last six years and my percentage has remained a steady 26%. I just wish the supply of $25 bags was larger.

I'm just starting, but now that I know my Credit Union will allow me to deposit as many coins as I want at no handling fee (unlike the robbers at JPMorganChase)!

I would like to know how many of you are hoarding the Cu vs. how many are selling. If selling, what percentage markup seems to be acceptable?
