No, We use cents not kopecks. Only kopecks are in danger. :)

Looks like the Russians would have had some good sorting/hoarding opprotunities. 45x face value for the metal contained in just one kopeck. Yikes! :P

That is an epic hoarding opportunity. I wonder how many Russians are taking advantage of it? I would be very happy if pennies were at 45x face. 8-)

note it does say the cost to produce them is 45 times higher than face. So the metal value would have to be what? around 30 times face?

Austrailia, New Zealand, Finland, Netherlands and many more coutnries already got rid of their smallest denomation coin. Canada is talking about it as well now. Like always the U.S will be the last ones to catch wind of the savings.....
