I do agree that it is getting harder and harder to defend the penny. That said, there is no way I'd vote for this guy. Ask all the people who used to make $6.50 to $7 an hour and now make $10+. Do they feel that much better off? I doubt it.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.

2020 politics are already getting nasty. Penny politics could make it even more visceral.
