A cent census....I would be interested in his results....heck I may even volunteer...I have 20 boxes I haven't gone thru yet. Year, Mint marks and varieties...WOW

Getting 44,000 people to do this is an amazingly aggressive goal IMHO. If he gets even 1,000, I will be amazed. And for those who want to sort by variety, God bless them. I can't even imagine how painful that would be to do. Also, I wonder, when all is said and done, if they will publish the percentage of people who committed and then gave up before finishing.
What would the punishment for that be? In my warped mind, I'd say you have to search at least 10 rolls of pennies every day for a month and you are not allowed to wash your hands anytime during the month! Ok, I wouldn't really do that...

Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).
Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
