https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YPQDkKA4MLE. YouTube is darn smart to know I’d find this interesting and so will you.

Video is 2 years old. Copper is 2x the price now.

Don't worry about melting them, just hoard and sell them at some later point in time when Cu prices are very high.

Let someone else worry about smelting.

Why melt those pennies? You have something that is known the world over as being 95% copper. A copper penny has an easily researched value and should command a premium from an investment standpoint! jmho

Exactly. Some people tend to overthink things, including the guy who made the video.

In the youtuber's defense, he melted the pennies for views and has about 200,000 so far (very very rough estimate of about $200 earnings from youtube) and still has 16-17 pounds of copper with another rough estimate of about $75 in copper value. All told, he should come out ahead in the end even if you include cost of gas and his labor especially if people keep viewing and he's really no worse for wear with those big 'ol hunks of pretty copper!

Keep stacking!

When I get bored I will melt my 82 coppers for the fun of it. Been setting those aside for awhile. But won't melt the others for reasons stated above cat.
