I still have not seen a 2009 nickel yet. But I still have $400 of unsorted loose nickels sitting in my basement, so maybe now is a good time to start looking thru those bags! ;)

If I had access to one would I buy a roll for $12. Probably. But just one. Especially if it is in a nice wrapped roll.

Good luck!

Didn't bite on any of the rolls.I looked at a few ebay auctions and the latest one went for $13.I think prices will come down a bit more and still have the possibility of finding some rolls from the banks.

Prices might come down more. I guess buying a few rolls won't hurt, but I wouldn't load up on them. I think most of these have been accumulated in rolls and $100 boxes acquired from the bank and are in collector's hands. As such, amongst collectors, there will be a plentiful supply of these for years. I don't think many of the 2009 coins really got into circulation, but were merely put away by collectors like us.

A few months ago, I got 10 rolls of 2009-D dimes for $82.50 (face+65%).

I have been finding them more often lately while roll seraching. I believe the 2009 D had a mintage of @47 million. I have about 10- 09P and 3 or 4 D's. I paid $35 for 5 rolls of the 09 D dimes, so I would buy 1 roll for $10 if I could.

I've been finding 2 to 3 2009 D nickels per box lately, I would not buy them personally.

still havent found one yet but do think 12 is a little high. Think prices will settle in the 6-8 range before too long
